Stop by for a unique evening of presentations, discussions, and music! John Porcellino has been a consistent presence in the zine and independent comics scenes for over twenty five years. His King-Cat Comics series has been running since 1989, and he has distributed zines and “comix” through his Spit and a Half distro since 1992. John will be talking about his own work, the integration of making comics with his everyday life, and the changes he has witnessed over the years when trying to expose independent creators to a wider audience. Local comic artist Stacie Arellano will also be talking about her work. After the presentations, stick around for musical performances from some vital young creators. Scheduled to perform is Slag Heap, Brett Naucke, and Josh Burke, among others! A program of the Madison Zinefest.

Crazy snow predicted for today. I think I’ll stay inside with my cats and blankets and warmness, and work on coloring the cover to issue 2!
